Who Benefits From the GCP?

By giving to the Global Citizenship Program at Heritage Christian School, you will directly benefit needy children in Mexico, as well as contribute to a top-notch character development program for Canadian teens. This is global education with a local impact.

And we'd like you to see this character development up close in ways that benefit your business personally. We'll send the student you sponsor to volunteer their services at your place of business for up to 50 hours of job-shadowing and/or volunteer help. Everybody benefits from the Global Citizenship Program.

* All donations to the Global Citizenship Scholarship are completely tax-deductible.

Scholarship Options

The Full MEXICO Scholarship: $3,300

This scholarship provides:

  • $1,200 Airfare
  • $500 local travel expenses
  • $500 toward new building projects
  • $700 for local accommodations & food
  • $400 for administration and staffing costs

The CHALLENGE Scholarship

You may also choose to participate in a Challenge Scholarship. In the Challenge Scholarship, an individual or business pledges a portion of a student's fees. This creates a challenge to others to do the same. With the money donated by one individual or business, we can challenge others to match the same portion of a student's total fees until we have acquired a full scholarship for one student:

  • By pledging  $1,100 for a GCP Scholarship, two other businesses can be challenged to meet this amount until the full expenses of one student are met.
  • By pledging $1,650 for a GCP Scholarship, we will challenge one other individual or business to meet this amount so that the full expenses of one student can be met.

Global Citizenship students return from their journey with a greater awareness of their privileges and responsibilities as citizens in their local communities.
